Nokia releasing its new Andriod phones

The Nokia brand, as rumoured, is returning to the mobile space to make Android-powered phones and tablets.
Microsoft’s Nokia “thing” will apparently end in the second half of 2016, leaving the market wide open for new Nokia handsets. The composition of the HMD is odd, to say the least. Nokia will not be investing any money in the project but it will receive royalties and sit on the board of HMD’s directors. Quite a few of Nokia’s old top brass will be returning to the fold as well.
According to the information handed to NPU, the Nokia C1 may come in two different size variants which will broadly share a spec sheet, but will have different camera tech, RAM, and onboard storage.
The display size is quoted at either 5.5in or 5in both with Full HD resolution. The 5in model will have 2GB of RAM with 32GB of storage space and an 8MP camera, while the larger 5.5in has 3GB RAM, a 13MP camera and 64GB onboard storage. Both will feature 5MP front-facing secondary cameras.
As for the software, it's going to be Android-based, although we'd expect it won't get away clean and will likely have Nokia UI stuff put on top. There's also going to be Windows 10 variants in select markets, allegedly.

For posterity, here's the quote from NPU's source:
  • Display: 5 inches, Full HD / 5.5 inches Full HD
  • Platform: Android and (Windows 10 in selected markets)
  • Memory: 32 GB, 2 GB RAM or 64 GB, 3GB RAM
  • Camera: 8 MP and 5 MP / 13 MP and 5 MP

In late August, two Nokia-branded Android devices - Nokia 5320 and Nokia 1490 - were spotted on GeekBench. Now, a new Nokia device, named D1C, has made its way to the benchmark site.
While the Nokia 5320 is touted to be a high-end device with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 powering it, the D1C appears to be in the mid-range level. The website mentions a Qualcomm octa-core processor powering the handset clocked at 1.4GHz with Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The device is likely to run Android 7.0 Nougat according to the listing.

GeekBench gave the D1C a score of 656 single-core performance and 3120 in multi-score performance which is decent for a mid-range device. Being a benchmark page, the information on the device is still limited.
Nokia's comeback has been highly anticipated since May when the Finnish company granted HMD Global the exclusive license to create Nokia-branded Android mobile phones and tablets for the next 10 years.
Nokia has already launched an Android-powered device with the N1 tablet, which was received positively by the public, as well as the Z Launcher for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. However, Nokia will be aiming to make a bigger splash with its upcoming smartphones.
With the D1C, Nokia is now expected to launch at least three smartphones before the year ends with no information yet on when the Finnish company is likely to hold the launch event.

Microsoft:Surface Phone

Surface Phone Leak:

Microsoft has been enticing fans with three new gadgets that are soon to be released. Recent rumors state that the Surface Book 2, Surface Pro 5 and the Microsoft Surface Phone will be simultaneously launched.
Meanwhile, a leaked image appeared to highlight the specs of the Microsoft Surface Phone. In an article by IB Times, the images were presented by Baidu, a well-known website in China. The phone shows a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port. The site also revealed a 20 MP Carl Zeiss camera, which was already seen in the Lumia 950.
Other specs observed include a Qualcomm upcoming Snapdragon 830, a "landscape screen support," a 5.7-inch 2K screen and a metal finish design.
"We're fully committed to that 4-inch screen, there will be a time for it to be our focus, but right now it's part of the family but it's not the core of where I hope to generate developer interest over the next year," said Windows chief Terry Myerson.

The Surface Phone is expected to have a display size of 5.7” or 5.8”. It is also expected to have a QWERTY keyboard built in. You will notice that the keyboard looks similar to the Surface Touch Cover. There is a kickstand mode so the Surface Phone will also be able to be used like it was a laptop. And the leaked photo indicates that there will be a large 20m-megapixel camera on the back, a USB 3.0 port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and support for the Windows Hello fingerprint sensor
